Professor Shi completed his medical education at the Medical School of Nanjing University, earning both an MD and PhD degree. He received further training at Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital, Nanjing University, the University of Pittsburgh, and the RIKEN Center for Integrative Medical Science in Tokyo. Currently, he is an experienced surgeon in the Sports Medicine and Adult Reconstruction Department. Prof. Shi actively serves on several professional societies. Prof. Shi and his research team focus on the genetics of bone, joint diseases, and regenerative medicine, and have published 140 SCI articles. Prof Shi holds editorial roles in esteemed medical journals, including the Executive Editor-in-Chief of Annals of Joint, Associate Editor-in-Chief of Annals of Translational Medicine, and Associate Editor of BMC Surgery, Frontiers in Cell and Developmental Biology, and Frontiers in Genetics.
